Do you know the signs of burnout?

I've spoken about how burnout can creep up on you. Often, when you experience it, you treat it as your new normal.

Burnout affects the mind, body and emotions - notice changes in behaviour and listen to what your body is telling you. This is not a comprehensive list however these might help you spot whether it's a problem for you, a colleague or loved one.

  • Feeling indispensable
  • Never having enough time
  • Hyperactivity
  • Being unable to say no
  • Anxiety
  • Increase in alcohol or tablet consumption
  • Change in eating habits
  • Rewarding yourself with shopping
  • Problems with concentration and decision making
